Our farmers are subsistence farmers female (40-50%) and male (50-60%) from different parts of the country; some local to the small towns we farm in and others come from far to stay with us. These farmers, just as all other subsistence farmers are seasonal farmers who work with the weather for their crops.
This creates a great tragedy for their livelihoods for 3 to 6 months in a year, as they have to wait for the next planting season after their crops have been harvested and sold.
