Our Farm, Volta Presentation Farms , is all for giving farmers the opportunity to make a living and support their families all year round.
Our farmers are subsistence farmers female (30-40%) and male (60-70%) from different parts of the country; some local to the small towns we farm in and others come from far to stay with us. These farmers, just as with all other subsistence farmers are seasonal farmers and work with the weather for their crops. This brings a great tragedy for their livelihoods for 3 to 6 months in the year, for when their crops have been harvested and sold and it is not time for the next planting season. The lean season…
Our satisfaction; most of our farmers are recurrent.
We offer balance by proving a fair and open environment to come and work on our fields for above the minimum-wage salary. We pay and handle our farmers’ health insurance and social security payments. Opportunities and benefits they otherwise do not have readily constant available access to.
